Arabella Young is a visual artist residing on the West Coast of Canada, within the unceded territory of the Coast Salish People.
Amongst the chaos of life, Arabella seeks time to wander in nature, finding spiritual meaning in the closer views and with the physical connection made in natural surroundings. It is these smaller, more intimate moments within the natural world that inspires Arabella to create expressive work with a contemporary approach. Utilizing an impasto painting technique, she adds texture and depth to her work, making the energy of her experiences and her art process, visible. Arabella communicates the intense vitality of the world around her through her expressionistic colour palette and on the surfaces of her work. With the combination of her natural subject matter, impasto techniques and expressive colours, Arabella’s work creates visually striking and emotionally engaging pieces. Arabella aims to blur the boundaries between reality and interpretation, inviting viewers to experience the vibrant beauty of the world through her artistic lens. |
