Each image was printed from an original pastel work by artist Arabella Young.
These "Mindful Moments Cards" have been created to offer Art and Nature Lovers an opportunity to engage in a mindful, meditational moment, through images. These activities are designed to be enjoyed while visually engaging with the image on the reverse side. Take a moment to read and understand the activity of your choice, and then flip the card over to engage.
ex. Unique activities on the back of each card.
1) Imagine how you would feel standing at the water’s edge. What do you hear (ie. birds, waves), how does the air feel?
2) Visualize the cycle of water as the ocean of water evaporates into clouds, and then rains down into the ocean again.
3)Have your finger trace along the light in this image, on the clouds and ocean, as you take slow and deep breaths.
You may choose to engage in these Mindful Activities during a work break, before bed, while awaiting an appointment, or any other time you may benefit from a calming moment. You may also choose to display some of these cards around your home, office or elsewhere. Each time you glance at the cards, they may serve as a peaceful reminder to take a Mindful Moment.
Bio - Arabella Young (Artist & Writer)
Arabella Young grew up on the beautiful North Shore of Vancouver B.C. She studied Fine Arts at the Emily Carr University of Art + Design. Arabella currently resides in Sidney, B.C, among the forests and the oceanside she loves to paint.
